Well if you havent learned anything you'll be as mad as a bag of frogs. You'll certainly appreciate your usual freedom to travel too.

heh... it ain't all bad, justin. at least these are very superficial ailments. i am glad that you went to the doctor, however, since it sounds like waiting around to see what happens might have had serious consequences. a powerful wake up call- stress really is a killer. and it's a good thing you're not skittish about needles, as i am. if i had to live for an extended period of time with a needle in my arm i think i would pass out.

sorry about your friend's mom. i hope it all works out. death seems to have stepped out of the shadows recently.

Wowzers -- but I'm glad you went to a doctor, and have a roadmap out of this!

I concur with Anne -- stress is a killer. I had high blood pressure, and had such GI distress and pain that I had to undergo a colonoscopy at the age of 30 -- and decided it was time to make a change in my emotional lifestyle. Hard to change, but I'm not falling apart anymore.

Hope it gets resolved soon, and that the pain gets better, and that your spirits lift.

One night I put my right foot on the first step of the stairs and I felt like I was going to fall back. The next morning I woke up with my whole body freezing cold in my bed, and its summer! So I get two afghan blankets, a comforter, and a down comforter. Sometime later I pass out. When I wake up Im so hot and sweaty my jaw lenght hair is soaked!

I tell my mother that Im not feeling well. Her jaw drops at the sight of me and makes me go to the doctor. "No mom I only have the flu." "I dont care! Your going to the doctor!" I guess I looked dead. I didnt look in the mirror. So alone I drove myself to the doctor.

To get to the point, I was on the verge of death, had Ehrlichiosis.
I had the bear minimun amount of red and white blood cells. When my doctor told me my blood work was impressive I though it was because I had started to take vitamins. But she meant that I was just about clinicly dead yet walking, talking, DRIVING, etc!

Took me a month of getting over the sickness. Then another month to recover from the Signs & Symptoms of Ehrlichiosis. I would become bone cold a lot. I took at least three baths a day to keep warm. My hearing became sensitive. My joints stiffed. I couldnt lift my neck when I would sleep. There are other sypmtoms but I forget.

It wasnt fun and Im glad to have my health back.

Jeez, guys, there's no cosmic significance to ringworm and shingles, no messages from the universe. (Hey, I was right *twice*). They just *are*, you know? And trust me, though it doesn't have any long-term consequences *unless* it gets into the eyes (usually), it really fucking sucks. It hurts. The drugs you take, especially in this case, since they have to suppress a fire-up from getting close to your optic nerves, are strong.

Francesco
