Bush, canny?
Hehhehehehe. Hehehhehe. Heehehhhe!
The only things I find canny about W are how he's managed to hide his Yale accent, and how he "cuts brush" now and again so that he keeps up his persona of being "one of the people".
I almost feel sorry for Bush; I don't believe he's a particularly intelligent man, but a simple man who has found himself as the mouthpiece for neo-conservatives. If he's canny, it's that he's managed to hide the hand of Karl Rove that's up the back of his jacket and moving his mouth.
If I ever find myself looking back on his presidency fondly, it'll be because the country is in even worse hands, and that's difficult to imagine at this point.
(Remind me that I said that in four years...)

How intelligent does a president have to be? My hunch is not that intelligent. Most Americans aren't intelligent; how do you suppose The Simple Life became a hit? W is one of the people because he's simply not that smart to be above the people.

I'm quite thankful W is my mouthpiece.

Hmm, I find myself these days less and less caring about politics. Maybe it is post-partum election depression!
