How much is 40 square meters? she asks me. 120 feet. Jesus, that's not a lot of space for an American. She's looking at apartments. That's $1000 a month to be near the Kamata train station, only 20 minutes from the beating nightlife heart of Tokyo.Steve Olson:
40 square meters is 427 sq. feet, not 120. How does $2.34/sq.ft./month fare versus the Bay Area?Dan Ciruli:
Hi.Witold Chrabaszcz:I'm just some guy who reads your page periodically.
I noticed that you said today "How much is 40 square meters? she asks me. 120 feet".
A meter is about three feet. But a *square* meter is about 9 feet (3 times 3).
So 40 square meters is about 360 square feet. Still--not a lot of space for an American!
40 sq meters is 430.4 sq feet, not 120 sq ft. Still small, but not walk-in-closet-small! :)
