Bud PowellBud Powell is a uniquely deft and subtle piano player. My Bud Powell Live at Birdland CD is one of my alltime favourite jazz records. Un Poco Loco, Dance of the Infidels - it is the soul of cool bebop piano.
Given his fingers and mind, it's all the more tragic that he was treated so poorly by the police and mental health establishment.
