Dave's got a tattoo of Hope II, a portrait of a pregnant woman by Gustav Klimt (here's Hope I).
It's said to be in memory of his mother and aunt who were killed by his mother's boyfriend. After Jane's, Dave worked on Deconstruction, with Eric. This site has a video clip, lyrics, an interview, and I found a review somewhere else.
Deconstruction is defunct, and Dave is the guitarist for the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
